Job Description :
The Construction Project Manager III with IFAS Facilities Planning and Operations provides project management and oversight for new construction, renovations, and facility upgrades across UF / IFAS-owned buildings statewide. Duties will include :
Prepares and manages scopes of work for new construction and renovation projects, including estimating budgets, developing project schedules, coordinating with IFAS clients, and communicating project updates. Works closely with EH&S, architects, engineers, surveyors, and construction teams to ensure compliance with UF Construction Standards and code requirements.
Develops and maintains IFAS Construction Standards. Provides technical review of design documents, specifications, and submittals. Conducts preconstruction meetings, monitors / inspects all phases of construction, and reviews change orders and payment requests to ensure quality and compliance with policies.
Oversees permitting and environmental compliance for statewide facilities, including wells, potable water, septic and wastewater systems, and FDEP-regulated storage tanks. Coordinates environmental reporting and cleanup efforts as required.
Provides oversight of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and energy management across more than 1, buildings and 4.3 million square feet. Troubleshoots building systems and supports statewide staff in improving energy efficiency.
Manages multiple projects statewide, requiring travel to IFAS facilities using state vehicles. Performs other duties as assigned.

Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Minimum Requirements :
Master’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, planning or building construction and four years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
