Moran Transportation Corporation provides regional, less than truckload (LTL) services throughout the states of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Missouri markets. Full Time Dispatch Assistant with Company Benefits $55k - $60K Yearly Gross

Experience of 1-2 years high volume phone calls in a fast-paced office / trucking environment to qualify

Shift available : Full-Time

Monday thru Friday 05 : 00 AM Start

Requirements :

High School diploma / GED required.

1-2 years high volume phone calls in a fast-paced office / trucking environment.

Previous freight experience is required within the trucking / transportation industry, import experience a plus.

Strong attention to detail

Outstanding communication skills

Main Job Functions :

Assist the dispatcher in communicating pick up and deliveries statuses with the drivers.

Assist the dispatcher in maintaining communication with the drivers, keeping track of their location.

Know the status / ETA of all pickups and deliveries.

Track shipments with our drivers.

Manage accessorial charges.

Create manifests.

Update the operating system with any notes on communication.

Receive the driver's delivery manifest and confirm all paperwork are received and signed properly.

Receive the driver pick up manifest and confirm all the proper back up documentation are received.

At the end of the driver's shift, make sure all the proper paperwork has been turned in, keys, inspection reports, etc.

Question / Assist any person in the facility, on the property or attempting to come onto the property that are not Moran employees.

Essential Functions :

Answer phone calls & manage emails.

Provide excellent & considerate customer service to customers and drivers.

Perform other duties as assigned.
