The role of Chief Controls Office – Manager, Data Reporting & Analytics at Webster Bank will play a critical role to enhance our centralized data reporting and analytics function to promote and strengthen the bank’s control environment. This individual will fulfill a vital role for data collection, ensuring accuracy, and assembling required artifacts to support a compliant and governed data reporting environment. This role will support our build out of a centralized consistent and accurate reporting, across Front-Line Control Office role will conduct root cause analysis, identifying trends and correlations, working with complex data in a highly matrixed environment, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Data Analytics and Aggregation, along with Management and Regulatory Reporting within the banking sector. This individual will also be involved with transformational initiatives and the delivery of critical, large-scale, complex, high-visibility, regulatory remediation programs.
Responsibilities
Compliance Assurance : Support reporting related to adherence of applicable regulations and banking standards, partnering with Compliance, Internal Audit, and other control functions.
Qualifications
oBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
oMinimum of 5 years of experience in Finance, Credit, Risk management, Operational risk, or Internal Audit within the banking or financial services industry.
oExperience within Data Analytics and Aggregation, Management and Regulatory Reporting programs within the banking sector.
oUnderstanding of risk management methodologies (, risk identification, assessment, control, and monitoring).
oStrong knowledge of automation platforms or scripting to automate the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data.
oUnderstanding of the general RCSA process.
oUnderstanding of operational risk management techniques and control assessment methodologies.
oKnowledge of OCC Heightened Standards and Regulatory Category IV banking requirements.
oHigh professionalism and project management skills.
oStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to understand new processes and identify potential risks.
oExtensive experience extracting relevant data from various systems using Excel, SQL, Python, or other data extraction tools.
oExperience for developing automation techniques and scripting to streamline data collection and reporting processes.
oStrong skills related to integration of multiple systems (ERP, CRM, risk management systems) to streamline data collection, reducing manual intervention.
oExperience in creating dashboards and reports using visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
oProficiency to interpret data trends, patterns, and correlations to support risk management decisions.
oExcellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to present complex information clearly. Strong and effective verbal and written communication, along with collaboration skills are crucial for working with across different teams and departments.
oAbility to influence senior stakeholders and build effective working relationships across business units and lines of defense.
oStrategic thinker with attention to detail and operational acumen.

This role has a hybrid work schedule and can be based in our NYC, Jericho, Southington, Stamford, Rhode Island or Massachusetts.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $105,000 USD to $125,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
