Job Title : Senior Civil Engineer (PE License Required)

Location : Mississippi

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license and over 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, designing and overseeing civil engineering projects from conception

through completion, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Management : Lead and manage civil engineering projects, including planning, design, budgeting, scheduling, and execution. Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Design and Analysis : Develop and review engineering designs, calculations, and specifications for various civil engineering projects, including wastewater, drainage systems, site grading plans, solid waste facilities and other civil projects.

Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices. Aid in preparing and submitting permit applications and other regulatory documents as needed.

Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor junior engineers, drafters, and other team members. Provide technical guidance and support to ensure high-quality project outcomes.

Client Interaction : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients. Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally.

Construction Oversight : Oversee construction activities, including site inspections and coordination with contractors and subcontractors. Ensure all construction work meets design specifications and quality standards.

Quality Assurance : Implement and maintain quality control processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of project quality and performance.

Documentation : Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, plans, and as-built drawings. Ensure accurate and detailed records of project activities and progress.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Valid Mississippi Professional Engineer (PE) license is required with the capability to obtain license in other states.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects.

Proficient in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation) and other relevant tools. Strong understanding of engineering principles, practices, and standards.

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage engineering teams. Strong organizational and project management skills.
