Job Description : Berkley Management Protection offers a modular suite of management liability products through the Grove℠ platform, enabling users to quote, bind, and issue policies with ease. Their Trellis Management Liability Portfolio℠ includes coverage for directors and officers, employment practices, fiduciary, cyber, crime, and miscellaneous professional liability.
The Territory Manager serves as the marketing focal point for a designated state or territory, coordinating resources and expertise to exceed performance goals. This role reports directly to the Assistant Vice President (AVP) and collaborates closely with underwriting and regional leadership to drive growth, profitability, and strong agency relationships.
Responsibilities :
- Grow private company management liability lines of business in assigned territory
- Collaborate with AVP to establish and implement a sales culture
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agents to drive production and growth
- Manage distribution channels and negotiate agency appointment agreements
- Monitor competitor offerings and emerging industry trends
- Influence regional structure to leverage team strengths
- Partner with regional and senior leadership to develop and execute underwriting and business strategies
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 5 years of insurance marketing experienceStrong experience in management / professional liability insuranceStrong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasksProven negotiation, sales, and problem-solving capabilitiesProficiency in computer systems and multi-faceted platformsAbility to manage complex workload independently with sound judgmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to foster relationships and collaborate across departmentsWillingness and ability to travel extensively (60%) for in-person agency engagementBenefits :
