Location : San Francisco, CA (Hybrid - 3 days in office and 2 days work from home )

Duration : 1 and half year (tentative start date 6 / 9 / 2025 till Dec 2026 )

Pay Rate : $65- $75 / hr on W2

Overtime / On-Call / Weekend or unusual working hours required : Not regular, launches are expected to be busy

Posting Job Description

Client's Publishing team is recruiting a Manager, User Acquisition to serve on the User Acquisition team, and build our capabilities across a specific set of UA channels.

This role reports into the Director, User Acquisition based in San Francisco.

  • UA Optimization : Manage the day-to-day operations across Applovin, Moloco, Liftoff, IronSource, Unity Ads, and others, following data in order to invest budgets with the maximum return on ad spend (ROAS) and scale
  • Competitive Benchmarking Keep a pulse on direct and indirect competitors' user acquisition strategies and ad creative Inform our team of the market trends on these channels to keep at the cutting edge of where the market is going
  • Channel Leadership

Dig in to

deeply understand the algorithms for the UA channels in your portfolio. Drive strategy, negotiate terms, and engage with external partners to gain access to alpha and beta tests

  • Aligned Execution Work closely with colleagues in analytics, product marketing, and creative services to ensure alignment in execution on test measurement and audience messaging
  • Reporting
  • Report internally

    on performance at all dimensions for specific marketing channel and game combinations exposing the trends and opportunities based on data driven insights

    The Essentials

  • College degree related to Business / Marketing / Data Analysis
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau
  • Experience with Performance Marketing channels like Moloco, Applovin, Liftoff, IronSource, UnityAds, etc. required
  • Strong interest in mobile free to play business model, understanding of player LTV, ARPU curves, and relationship with CPI
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, & PowerPoint, and / or Google Suite
  • Highly effective analytical , verbal and written communication skills
  • Team culture / work environment :

  • Every day is teamwork, doing Scrum often (multiple times a week). Doing reviews of numbers and priorities and communicate through Slack often.
  • Meet with creative and data teams, Management teams – meeting biweekly and responsible for managing the meetings
  • Key projects :

  • Many big projects running at once, working across client console and Mobile

    Purpose of this team :

  • Making video games around intellectual property, this role is part of the User Acquisition team, working with digital advertising and analyzing . Working cross functionally to test and plan and Data analysis
  • After testing, running AB tests and isolate variables and skills there are important
  • Going back to creative team to make better advertisements, reporting.
  • Managing TikTok, Reddit, Facebook , etc but looking for someone with experience working at ad networks, Unity, Liftoff,
  • Ad monetization is good too
  • Previous experience in advertising.

  • Years experience :

  • Not a hard limit, multiyear experience in the advertisement space with particular channel.
  • Candidate Requirements (3-5 hard skills)

  • Experience in the advertising field, , experience managing them or worked there.
  • Experience with Data analytics Tools (Looker, etc)
  • Experience with Marketing channels like Moloco, Applovin, Liftoff, IronSource, UnityAds
  • Nice to Have Skills

  • SQL, AI Machine Learning , any kind of analytical skillset
  • Looker experience, Sheets experience, and building dashboards.
  • Experience in the gaming and entertainment industry
  • Video Game interest
