Job Description : We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our team as a Clinical Support Technician in the Medical Device Industry. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the successful integration and utilization of our medical devices within clinical settings. This candidate has well-developed interpersonal and soft skills. They possess an aptitude for technology and problem solving, with the ability to embrace the flexibility of an early-stage company. As a key member of our implementation team, they will play an integral role in our growth through customer training, support, and satisfaction.

Responsibilities :

a. Staff and Patient Training :

  • Conduct comprehensive training sessions for healthcare staff on the proper use and maintenance of our medical devices.
  • Provide hands-on training to patients and family members, ensuring they understand how to use the device safely and effectively.
  • Remain up to date with the product offerings and updates
  • Schedule training sessions that fit into the trainee's schedule.
  • Help strengthen the core set of Tango Belt’s knowledge base support resources to educate and empower our customers to be confident users.

b. Assessment of Success :

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of device implementation by analyzing patient outcomes, satisfaction levels, and clinical feedback.
  • Communicating product and customer feedback to ActiveProtective
  • Completion of site visitation and work documentation promptly.
  • Utilize data analysis and feedback mechanisms to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance success rates.
  • c. Collaborative Fall Planning :

  • Collaborate with clinical teams to develop fall prevention strategies and protocols utilizing our medical devices.
  • Participate in community / facility education events, residential meetings and fall planning meetings to provide insights and recommendations based on device capabilities and clinical expertise.
  • Relationship development with clinical leadership and care staff within older adult congregate living settings for long term goal achievement.
  • d. One-on-One Device Fitting :

  • Provide personalized support to patients through their care providers with guiding presence during one-on-one fitting sessions, ensuring the device is properly calibrated and comfortable for individual needs.
  • Address any concerns or questions the patient and / or family may have during the fitting process, promoting confidence and compliance with device usage.
  • Ensure designated staff are present at each fitting.
  • e. Family Education :

  • Offer education and support to family members or caregivers involved in the patient's care, ensuring they understand the device's functionality and how to assist the patient as needed.
  • Provide resources and guidance to empower family members in supporting the patient's recovery or management journey.
  • Requirements

    Requirements :

  • Associate’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., nursing, healthcare administration) or equivalent clinical experience.
  • Experience working in a clinical setting, preferably with experience in medical device implementation or training.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and educate both healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Ability to work autonomously as an independent problem solver.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and evaluate program success.
  • Knowledge of fall prevention protocols and clinical best practices is desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality related to company and client goals
  • Ability to meet HIPAA requirements related to access of PHI
  • Able to work in hybrid environment with flexibility for office or remote work that may fluctuate
  • Ability to travel to clinical sites regionally or nationally as need to support company and customer goals
  • Has own reliable transportation
  • Willing to meet vaccination and health requirements (i.e. masking), consistent with client and clinical recommendations / requirements.
  • Ability to attend facility education events that may occur at night or on weekends when needed.
