What We Stand For and Where You'll Come In
The Assistant Controller will lead the accounting, technical accounting research and financial reporting functions of TFD in addition to leading a number of cross-functional initiatives. We need a visionary leader who will live our values, create a vision for where the accounting and reporting function can go, and then drive the implementation and realization of that vision.
This role will have oversight over our monthly close process and driving improvements in efficiency and insight; our vendor payments processes including driving the next phases of process improvement, visibility and control using our software, Coupa; our financial reporting process including producing quarterly and annual reporting in public company timelines and running the process of review and approval of that financial information up through the Audit Committee of the Board; leading our cross functional efforts to ensure we have the ability to have public company optionality; and driving our control identification and improvement work to raise the level of controls across the organization.
This role will have three direct reports and oversee the general ledger team and the close and reporting team. Your responsibilities will include mentoring and supervising these strong teammates, ensuring buy-in to the vision of the future of the organization, and then working to support a continuous improvement mindset across the organization to drive us to be a world-class accounting and reporting group.

We believe in competitive base compensation rooted in location specific market data and performance along with equity ownership in the company that allows every team member to build their personal wealth as the company grows, just as much as we believe in fostering a culture that supports our team members personally, professionally, and holistically. For this role the anticipated hiring base compensation range is $200,000 - $230,000 USD Annual and the compensation offered will include a robust market competitive package of base and equity. In addition to your base compensation offer you will also receive equity ownership in the company. More information about the value of this equity will be shared at the time of offer.
