Description : Supervises, coordinates and monitors activities of workers directly engaged in the fabrication and assembly of window products and / or components in a manner that meets the company’s cost, quality, productivity and profit goalsPositions reporting to this position :
- Production line workers & equipment operators directly engaged in production of above products and / or components
Duties and Responsibilities :
Completes production schedule and other assigned work within allotted time by assigning personnel, monitoring progress and resolving problems in order to maintain flow and ensure qualityMonitors quality throughout the process for adherence to company standards and facilitates timely correction / rework of rejected products and / or componentsEnsures product quality and maximum machine uptime by monitoring & directing production line personnel responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of equipmentWorks closely and in a cooperative manner with management and supervisors of other production lines & functional departments to help meet the company’s goalsCommunicates job expectations to employees and trains workers in processes to be performed and in use and operation of tools and equipmentMaintains a safe, clean work environment by educating and directing personnel and ensuring compliance with established systems, policies, and procedures, especially as it relates to the company’s personal protective equipment and safety policiesAssists Management in resolving personnel problems by investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending actionsNotifies maintenance department and plant manager of any need for adjustment or repair of equipment and cooperates in correcting deficiencies and affecting repairsCompiles, edits and provides data and reports to Management regarding employee time management (specifically absenteeism, tardiness and vacation requests) as requiredComplies, edits and provides data and reports to management regarding progress against production plan as requiredPerforms other incidental and related duties as required.Requirements :
Education and Training Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not requiredExperience Requirements :
Minimum of one (1) year experience in window & door manufacturing or related fieldPrevious supervisory experience preferred but not requiredSpecial Skills Required :
Possesses the ability to understand and communicate clearly in English & SpanishDemonstrates a high degree of attention to detailPossesses a high degree of organizational skill and has the ability to plan and coordinate people and processesAbility to get along with employees and a wide range of people from other departments and functional areas within the businessPhysical Demands :
Must be able to lift 60 poundsMust be able to stand for long periodsWorking Conditions :
