Position Overview
The Floor Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing overall store operations, ensuring an excellent experience for both customers and staff. You will take charge of daily operations in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant Managers, while also supporting the team in achieving company goals.
Key Responsibilities :
Customer Engagement
- Represent Westlake Ace Hardware positively and professionally.
- Provide proactive assistance to customers in resolving issues.
- Welcome customers warmly and express gratitude as they leave.
- Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor, fostering good relationships with customers and associates.
- Respond to calls and inquiries promptly and effectively.
- Address customer complaints with care and empathy, prioritizing the company’s interests.
- Develop strong product knowledge and an understanding of store layout.
Store Management
Ensure a positive, professional, and safe workplace for all team members.Oversee daily store operations and assist in opening and closing processes.Implement Store Support Center programs effectively.Support loss prevention, safety, and internal audit procedures.Collaborate with management on store operations and report issues promptly.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, stockroom, and merchandise areas.Assist with timely price changes and label updates.Participate in cashiering functions, including training and audits.Perform other related duties as assigned.Inventory & Merchandising
Ensure safe and efficient operations for receiving and forklift tasks.Assist in checking in and stocking merchandise accurately.Help manage back stock inventory levels efficiently.Ensure timely and accurate cycle counts.Participate in merchandise resets and maintain current signage.Present a well-organized and visually appealing sales floor.Leadership
Manage store operations in the absence of upper management.Lead by example and remain approachable to all team members and customers.Assist in the development and training of associates.Engage in team meetings and serve as a communication bridge for management ideas.Collaborate with management to prepare for future growth opportunities.Essential Qualifications
High School diploma or GED equivalent.Prior retail management experience is preferred, especially in hardware.Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25lbs), and climb as needed.Compensation
Starting at $17.00 per hour.
