Position : Registered Nurse (RN) – Pool Nurse (Evening Shift)

Location : Phoenix, AZ

Type : Contract

Pay rate : $50 / Hourly

Schedule :

10-hour shifts : Thursday, Friday, Saturday (No Sundays)

30 hours per week (occasional authorization to work over 30 hours, but not to exceed 40 hours; no overtime)

Shift : 12 : 00 PM – 10 : 00 PM

Every weekend is required except Sundays

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team as a Pool Nurse. In this vital role, you will provide direct nursing care and clinical assessment to youth in a dynamic environment. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address health concerns, administer medications, respond to emergencies, and maintain medical records and equipment.

Key Responsibilities :

Evaluate and respond to youth health concerns and advise on health treatments and procedures

Obtain and process blood, urine, or other sample specimens

Monitor, record, and report changes in vitals or health condition; administer medications and observe for adverse reactions

Conduct intake health screenings for newly admitted youth; provide direct patient care and emergency care to both youth and staff as needed

Consult and coordinate on treatment plans with healthcare team; manage medical files and records

Administer vaccinations and assist with annual tuberculosis (TB) skin tests

Ensure medical supplies and equipment are stocked and maintained

Perform additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Minimum 1 year of RN experience

Active and valid RN license in the State of Arizona

Strong verbal & written communication skills

Professional nursing knowledge, patient assessment, and problem-solving skills

Ability to independently evaluate, analyze, and respond to medical emergencies

Able to work collaboratively to ensure resident health and safety

Preferred :

Corrections, detention, or youth facility experience
