About the Role We are seeking a talented Service Designer to join our dynamic team and lead the creation of innovative services and experiences that people love.
You will bring a customer-first mindset, helping organizations understand their services from their customers' perspectives.
In this role, you will lead discovery research, co-create new concepts, design prototypes, and present compelling narratives to our clients.
As an essential member of our client-facing teams, you'll collaborate with researchers, visual designers, and business strategists to deliver exceptional work.
This role is based in Minneapolis, MN, and reports to the Director of Creative + Service Design. What You'll Do 1.
Create a Deep Understanding of Human Needs Conduct primary qualitative research to inform design decisions Design and facilitate co-creation workshops to explore, ideate, and shape new solutions Synthesize research insights into key deliverables, including personas, journey maps, and service blueprints 2.
Develop and Test New Concepts Lead concept development sessions with client teams Apply behavior design methods to enhance concepts and solutions Design and build prototypes through various mediums, including wireframes, interactive digital tools, and service staging Develop and execute testing strategies to refine concepts and prototypes based on user feedback 3.
Craft Compelling Narratives Create visuals, system maps, storyboards, presentations, and immersive experiences that inspire and inform clients Deliver narratives that drive emotion and engagement 4.
Grow Our Service Design Discipline Explore emerging technologies and key trends to shape future service design strategies Document and refine methodologies, tools, and processes to expand our service design capabilities Act as a brand ambassador by actively participating in local design communities and events What We're Looking For Passion and proven ability to thrive in a client-facing role Strong values-centered leadership Working in a manner that shows respect for diversity and equality Ability to manage project plans and navigate ambiguity with collaborative problem-solving 3-5 years of relevant experience in Service Design, UX, Product Design, Strategy, Research, or Innovation Deep understanding of Design Thinking and Service Design methodologies Proficiency in using design and research platforms Early adopter of AI tools and platforms Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
