UTIMCO's Operations, Accounting, and Reporting (OAR) team is currently hiring for three Investment Accountants , a great opportunity to join a dynamic and impactful group.
The Investment Accountant on our Operations, Accounting, and Reporting (OAR) team will be involved in a wide range of investment accounting and operational activities across multiple asset classes - cash, domestic and global equities, fixed income, real estate, natural resources, hedge funds, and private investments.
Broad Responsibilities Include :
- Fund Accounting and Operations - Prepare supporting workpapers and reports to support both internal and external client's informational needs including but not limited to :
Monthly accounting close processes
Private Investment and Hedge Fund monthly valuation / pricing processesMonitoring private investment activity (calls and distributions)Monitoring and preparing public and hedge fund investment activity (calls and distributions)Consolidation processesMonthly, quarterly, and annual investment reportsBank and external fund manager reconciliationsAudit work papers and other informationManagement and performance fee calculations and paymentsMonitor and facilitate derivative trades and associated collateralInvestment Performance - Performs analytics and prepares supporting workpapers and reports for internal and external client's needs including but not limited to :Investment manager returns
Alpha and Value add versus manager benchmarksAttribution reportsIndividual Endowment Accounting - Maintain and provide support for subledger accounting systems and reporting for underlying unitholders in the various funds including but not limited to :Monthly / Quarterly addition and redemptions
Monthly / Quarterly distributionsClient and donor reportingCharitable Trust Tax Returns and Reports - Prepare tax forms and associated donor reporting as requiredOrganizational Health - Build relationships across the OAR team and all other UTIMCO teams to foster an excellent culture within the organizationWork Independently - Utilizes experience and knowledge to work through more complex issues and assignments with minimal supervision; take full responsibility for assigned tasksTeam Resource - Utilizes experience and skillsets to answer questions raised by AnalystsAd Hoc Project and Reporting Requests - Participation in projects and preparation of special ad hoc reporting requests as assignedRequirements :
A bachelor's degree in accountingMinimum of 3 years' experience in public accounting or other financial services accounting roleDisplay understanding of team workflow processesDisplay working knowledge of applications and technology tools used in team workflow processesAbility to manage multiple assignments and prioritiesElevated attention to detailStrong verbal and written communications skills and presence to communicate effectivelyPreferred Qualifications :
MBA or CPANOTE : This role requires in-office, 4 days a week, Monday thru Thursday.
