Senior Systems Administrator

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Administrator to join our IT department and help drive innovation across our mission-critical programs.
As a Senior System Administrator at CTI, you'll be responsible for managing and supporting our advanced software and systems infrastructure. You'll work alongside a team of experts to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our systems across multiple sites.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Oversee asset procurement, installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware / software infrastructure
- Configure and manage Windows and Linux operating systems, commercial / government applications, IP networks, and switches
- Implement and maintain DoD and IC standard distributed authentication services
- Build systems from "bare metal" aligned with accredited baselines
- Ensure compliance with company and government IT policies
- Conduct regular security monitoring and intrusion detection
- Perform daily backups, file archival, and purging
- Manage user accounts and access controls
- Optimize system performance and conduct hardware upgrades
- Troubleshoot and recover from hardware / software failures across multiple sites
- Document and monitor CTI's cybersecurity program implementation
- Maintain and support Thinklogical Audio and Video Wall Systems
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of the Distributed Experimentation Environment (DE2) Modeling and Simulation applications and Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) as needed.
- Assist in documenting and tracking all aspects of system development, installation, modification and maintenance.
- Aid in system security patching, installation and configuration.
- Ensure configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations.
Requirements :
Necessary Skills and Experience :
A minimum 7 years of experience in system administration or engineeringStrong Linux / Unix administration skills (installation, configuration, troubleshooting)Familiarity with U.S. Government IT systems and security protocolsExperience with server-side technologies and networked computing systemsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldMust have an active U.S. government Top Secret security clearance and be SCI eligibleU.S. citizenship is required to obtain security clearances.Maintain a flexible schedule and be able to work extended hours and / or weekends in support of exercises and events.Beneficial Skills and Experience :
Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash)Familiarity with IT infrastructure tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)Server-side development experience (PHP, Ruby on Rails, ASP.NET)Strong problem-solving and communication skillsDoD 8570 Baseline Certification (Security+, GSLC, GSEC, etc.)Knowledge of DOD network infrastructures, especially in HawaiiUSINDOPACOM AOR experience.Familiarization with Joint Fires Network (JFN) architecture and infrastructure.Strong, supportive, and productive Team player.CTI is a rapidly growing company offering the following :
