Job Summary The College of Pharmacy invites applications for two part-time (0.49 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term, Faculty Research Assistant positions. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Department Head.
The Sahay Lab at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Oregon State University is developing non-viral vectors for gene therapy. Lipid based nanoparticles were pivotal for the success of mRNA vaccines. The next generation LNPs are being developed that target extrahepatic tissue. The current project aims to develop targeted nanotherapeutics for prime editing for treatment of inherited genetic diseases. This position will conduct laboratory research, maintain laboratory equipment, and participate in scholarly activities related to the research. We are an interdisciplinary team, and we support collaborations of the candidate with formulation scientists, biologists, engineers and clinicians. Dr. Gaurav Sahay is committed for the career development of his team members and growth as independent scientists. We are located at the SW Waterfront of the Robertson Life Sciences Building in Portland, OR that houses scientists from OSU, OHSU and PSU. Why OSU?
