Senior Accountant

As an Accountant, you will take ownership of core accounting operations for a fast-growing, private equity-backed SaaS organization. You will perform and oversee daily accounting functions, ensuring compliance with US GAAP while actively managing accounts receivable and payable operations. You will prepare and review financial statements and lead month-end and year-end close processes. This role requires collaboration with external auditors, tax advisors, and senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee daily accounting functions, including general ledger reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
  • Manage full-cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable operations, maintaining accurate cash flow.
  • Prepare and review financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, actively performing key closing tasks.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, preparing documentation and following up on audit requests.
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606.
  • Assist in developing financial policies and procedures, ensuring their practicality.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and Director of Finance on budgeting and forecasting.
  • Work closely with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff to meet deadlines.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in reconciliation, month-end processes, and journal entries.
  • Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
  • Strong reporting and financial statement preparation skills.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 compliance.
  • Experience with NetSuite and QuickBooks is essential.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a SaaS environment is highly desirable.
  • Ability to lead and guide junior team members effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $110000.00 / yr.

    This is a fully remote position.
