Research Engineer I

A company is looking for a Research Engineer I to develop and maintain offshore software products. Key Responsibilities Program and document numerical algorithms for engineering and mathematical calculations Troubleshoot engineering design modules and provide technical support and documentation Develop and expand post-processing capabilities for offshore products and contribute to finite element analysis software development Required Qualifications Advanced (MS, PhD) degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related disciplines Understanding of linear and nonlinear numerical techniques and structural analysis methods Experience in software development using at least one programming language (C++, Python, Fortran) Industry experience with design and analysis software for structural and offshore structures Knowledge of engineering codes such as API, AISC, DNV, ABS, and ISO 19902 is a plus
