PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Configure and manage MES, Quality and Admins systems, build workflows, custom reports, and security access control
- Identify issues and risks and recommend steps for escalation, prioritization, and risk mitigation
- Provide on the job training and support to business users to effectively utilize the Engineering applications and to improve process efficiency
- Ensure that all development software has been fully tested and documented after production deployment
- Support deployment activities through development testing, training, and production environments
- Provide technical support for business-critical applications
- Perform root cause analysis for issues in production environment
- Prepare and maintain application technical documents
- Perform other duties and special tasks as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Associates or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline preferred5+ years’ experience in relevant IT experienceBroad MES (Solumina), Quality (Intellaquest), Industry 4.0 (IIoT) and MS power tools experience Is preferredBroad experience with MES, Quality and PLM integrationAbility to interface with customers and provide support and trainingAbility to work with all staff levels to ensure proper communication of project status and to identify and escalate issues as appropriateExperience in manufacturing Bill of Process, Work instruction and integration with Manufacturing systemsAbility to work independentlyStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal skillsStrong problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to effectively manage prioritiesAbility to travel to plant sites as requiredMust exhibit the highest professionalism, self-initiative, enthusiasm, and work ethicPHYSICAL EFFORT
Sight : must be able to regularly read computer screen, reports, and various documents with detail and clarity to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner, including regular use of adequate close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focusHearing : must be able to regularly hear well enough to communicateWORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Location : This position operates between an office and manufacturing plant environment and is often assigned to a specific shift or hours. The Employee must be able to perform job functions in an environment with varying difficult work conditions such as extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, and / or while exposed to constant / intermittent loud noisesTeamwork : This position will work with others to ensure efficiency in the workplaceListening Skills : This position will need to understand how to use machinery properly and safely to prevent accidents and ensure all tasks are completed accuratelyAbility to follow instructions : Managers assign tasks and responsibilities, which vary; this position should be able to follow instructions competentlyMethodical approach : Production lines follow a set process, so this position needs a methodical approach to ensure all tasks are completed in the correct order for a smooth-running production lineConcentration : This position may perform the same or similar tasks repeatedly, so a strong level of concentration when carrying out these tasks is important for quality control purposes. This role is often fast paced, so being able to maintain focus at all times is importantTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
