SUMMARY :
The Business Intelligence Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the company's core BI infrastructure. This role requires deep technical expertise in data warehousing, ETL processes, and database management, with a keen eye for how data can be leveraged for advanced analytics. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the Microsoft BI stack, particularly with D365 Finance and Operations (FO), Azure Synapse Analytics, and SQL Server. This role will also be crucial in laying the technical groundwork for future AI and machine learning initiatives
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Design, architect, implement and support simple to complex enterprise data warehouses using Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
- Own and understand existing infrastructure, troubleshoot, and escalate as determined.
- Lead discovery and requirements gathering sessions with end-users at every level.
- Ability to partner with the business analysts to align business needs with tech solutions.
- Scope requested enhancements.
- Ensure completion of tasks, milestones, and components including but not limited to functional specifications, design specifications, configurations, quality assurance, implementations, and project reviews.
- Building reports, dashboards and scorecards using a variety of tools
- Train end users and system administrators
- Provide end-users with ongoing technical support and troubleshooting.
- Lead additional optimization initiatives as businesses change and grow.
- Work on multiple projects at the same times
- Interact effectively with internal and external resources at all organizational levels.
- Design, implement, and manage ETL pipelines from D365 FO to Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Develop and maintain the semantic layer and data models within Azure Synapse, ensuring they are structured to support both traditional reporting and more complex analytical projects.
- Write and optimize complex SQL stored procedures, functions, and views to support reporting and future advanced analytics.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and performance across the BI infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the Business Intelligence Analyst and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
- Evaluate and prepare the data infrastructure for potential future applications of predictive analytics and other data science techniques.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in BI and data analytics.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION :
Bachelor's degree or graduate degree and / or 6-8 years of related work experienceHands-on experience with data modeling (normalized and de-normalized data models), understanding of the appropriate purpose for each.Deep experience using T-SQL scripts (stored procedures, views, functions, etc.) to manipulate data and simplify access to data.Analyst and data visualization experience with Power BIExperience with Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Supply Chain Management (F&SC) data, entities, and base tables(D365)Experience with data science, machine learning, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) methodsExperience with data science programming languages such as Python or RExperience with Azure Machine LearningMicrosoft D365 F&O experience / exposure preferredExperience with Microsoft Dataverse Link to Fabric is a plus.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT :
