Field Service Technician

Summary of the Role
Seeking an entry-level Conveyor Belting Technician who is mechanically inclined. Performs splices and installation on various types of conveyor belts and components to meet customer and industry requirements. Performs other field service and warehouse tasks, as trained and required. Reports to Field Service Supervisor or Manager.
Responsibilities
- Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures
- Works closely with Field Service Supervisors and team members in attaining goals and objectives
- Good understanding of overall Quality process and documentation
- Communicate general and quality-related concerns to management
- Provide onsite customer service
- Perform conveyor belt installation with mechanical or vulcanized splice
- Understands tools and machinery applicable to the job
- Travel is required part of job
Skills and Abilities
Must be able to work overtime hours, evening and weekends, when requiredMust be able travel to out-of-town jobs, as neededPossess excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers, and team-members in a professional mannerBasic mechanical skills including the use of hand tools.Basic computer skills including; internet and email.Must be able to apply OSHA standards applicable and MSHA standards as applicable (training will be provided)Minimum Qualifications
Be at least 21 years of ageHave a valid driver's license and a clean driving recordHave a high school diploma / GEDReliable transportation is a mustBe able to work independentlyAbility to safely drive a Company truckAbility to see in colorAbility to work overtime, as requiredAbility to pull, push, grasp, bend, lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently on a repeated basisAbility to consistently move physically about worksite during the full workdayAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsBasic math skillsProperly measure with a tape measureAbility to travel on regular basisBackground checks, drug screening, and a physical may be required (by Company, Customer or DOT requirements in working on-site and operating equipment as required or permitted by law)Must be able to successfully pass a DOT physical exam, or have a current DOT medical cardPreferred Qualifications
