Company : Crouch Staffing Solutions, Inc. is hiring for a Production Construction Worker in the Killeen area. All of our services are free for prospective employees.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay / Salary : $18.00 per hour

Hours of Work : Monday-Friday 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm. Some overtime

Job Description / Responsibilities / Essential Functions :

  • An experienced worker will construct, assemble, and install wood and metal fixtures using basic hand tools and power tools.
  • Study blueprints and drawings to determine the dimensions of the material to be produced
  • Measure materials or distances, using a square, measuring tape, or ruler to lay out work.
  • Cut or saw boards, timbers, or plywood to the required size, using a handsaw, a power saw, or a woodworking machine.
  • Mark cutting lines on materials, using a pencil and scriber.
  • Anchor and brace forms and other structures in place, using nails, bolts, anchor rods, steel cables, planks, wedges, and timbers.
  • Assemble and fasten the material together to install the floor decking and walls
  • Follow and implement safety and quality control protocols

This position requires repetitive lifting of more than 50 pounds, bending, squatting, kneeling, and standing for long hours. This position requires using hands and arms repetitively in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials. Must pass criminal background check and drug screen test.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • A minimum of 6 months of experience is required, along with a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of carpentry skills such as framing, drywall, siding, etc a plus. Knowledge of flooring and door installation a plus
  • Ability to communicate in English required
  • Strong math and tape measure skills are required
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with little supervision are required.
