Major Function :

Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping critical facilities running smoothly?

This hands-on technical role involves performing essential building maintenance at the airport, ensuring the facility runs smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the airport’s operational, technical, and security systems—all while helping to create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors alike. The work is carried out independently, with support and guidance from a supervisor, and performance is evaluated through direct observation, regular check-ins, reporting, and achieved outcomes.

What you’ll do :

  • Maintain mechanical components of jet bridges, including daily and weekly inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on motorized equipment such as baggage conveyor and handling systems.
  • Conduct HVAC system repairs, including coil cleaning, filter changes, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance inspections (PMI), and vent upkeep.
  • Maintain cooling towers, perform descaling, and carry out minor plumbing repairs.
  • Inspect and repair automatic doors, fuel tanks, stormwater ponds, and oil / water separators to ensure environmental compliance.
  • Operate various equipment used in emergencies and disaster preparedness, including conducting inspections during response events.

Minimum Training & Experience

  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Have at least two (2) years of technical work experience that includes the maintenance and repair of non-residential buildings and their associated mechanical and operating systems and equipment.
  • Necessary Special Requirements

    NOTE : In accordance with 49 CFR Part 1542, employees assigned to the airport must successfully complete a fingerprint-based criminal history records check and personal background check prior to employment

    Salary Range

    13.3916 to $36.3390 / hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $22.2699 / hour

    Driver's License Requirements

    Must possess a valid Class-E State driver's license at the time of appointment.
