Chesapeake Specialty Care is looking for a Call Center Representative to join our centralized scheduling and patient support team. This on-site role is an important part of our Call Center, where you'll play a key role in helping patients by managing messages, returning calls, assisting with rescheduling, and making sure their needs are met with care and professionalism.

Schedule

Monday through Friday (no weekends)

30-minute unpaid lunch break

What You'll Do

Manage patient messages and follow up promptly to ensure excellent patient care

Return patient calls in a kind, professional, and timely manner

Help schedule and reschedule appointments across multiple locations

Assist providers and patients with rescheduling needs when changes come up

Share accurate information about our offices, providers, and services

Help with insurance and billing questions, or direct patients to the right resource

Keep detailed and accurate notes in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Update patient information when needed

Support patients with referrals, records requests, and related tasks

Work closely with both clinical and administrative staff to support the patient experience

Take on other responsibilities as needed to keep things running smoothly

What We're Looking For

At least 1 year of experience in a medical call center, front desk, or customer service role preferred

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Comfortable working with computer systems, especially EMR scheduling

Excellent communication and listening skills

Ability to stay calm, patient, and empathetic when helping people who may not feel their best

A team player who can also work independently when needed

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required

Medical office training program graduate preferred

Physical Requirements

Sitting at a desk and working on a computer for extended periods

Occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds (files, supplies, etc.)
