Lab Manager
We are currently looking for a Lab Manager to lead day-to-day operations for the laboratory of Dr. Joseph Mougous, now located at Yale University. This individual will work collaboratively with a multifaceted and interactive team that primarily investigates the molecular mechanisms bacteria employ to interact with or antagonize their microbial neighbors. About the Lab Manager role : You will hold an integral role within the lab as the 'go-to' person coordinating the day-to-day operations involved in running the lab and serving as both a professional partner to lab leadership and the primary liaison between the lab and various external groups (Yale administrative offices, EH&S, HHMI science operations offices, vendors, etc.). You will have a background in microbiology and lab operations / administration, be committed to fostering a thriving, collaborative work environment, able to exhibit strong communication skills, and have a desire to be a part of a robust scientific community. This role is best fit for an assertive, respectful professional who is proactive in their work style, adaptable to change, able to take initiative, and passionate about the research and mission of the lab.

Compensation Range : Laboratory Manager I $74,760 (minimum) - $93,500 (midpoint) - $121,485 (maximum) Laboratory Manager II $91,560 (minimum) - $114,400 (midpoint) - $148,785 (maximum) Pay Type : Annual
HHMI's salary structure is developed based on relevant job market data. HHMI considers a candidate's education, previous experiences, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity when making job offers. Typically, a new hire for this position in this location is compensated between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary range.
