Position : Warehouse Specialist

Location : Bolingbrook. Chicago

Reports To : Logistic Supervisor

Employment Type : Contract to Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Specialist to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory management, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role plays a critical part in the supply chain by ensuring timely and accurate handling of goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments.
  • Load Planning & Coordination.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely
  • Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory audits
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of warehouse space
  • Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Comply with safety regulations and company policies

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics
  • Familiarity with inventory software and warehouse management systems
  • Forklift certification
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • Experience in fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of lean warehousing principles
  • Basic data entry and computer literacy
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive attitude
