Being a Verifications Specialist at WeierLaw is both crucial and rewarding, as it involves meticulously organizing and verifying essential client case details that directly impact successful case outcomes. This role offers the satisfaction of ensuring accuracy and efficiency in case management while supporting clients through the legal process.

Compensation : 40,000 yearly

Responsibilities :

• Manage and navigate the software our office uses, "Abacus" for distinguishing between "matters" and "names" and understanding relevant tab information.
• Locate and retrieve client files from the drive and accurately start and organize case files based on transfer memos and binders.
• Initiate and maintain spreadsheets containing client names, dates of loss (DOL), PIP / HI details, provider information, and billing phone numbers.
• Accurately record provider details and dates of service, including charges, payments, write-offs, client payments, and interest in spreadsheets.
• Read and interpret PIP, HI, and L&I ledgers, recognizing provider payments, adding up payments accurately, and identifying wage loss payments.
• Identify and correct errors, such as double payments, unrelated treatments on ledgers, and missing provider details.
• Verify whether PIP / HI treatment payments are unrelated and prepare appropriate documentation for correction.
• Draft and send various types of letters, including requests for records (ROI), balance verifications, and communications with PIP / HI and providers.
• Reach out to insurance companies for updated ledgers and other required information.
