SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented administrator or developer who understands the intricacies of deploying secure Kubernetes environments; Red Hat OpenShift experience is a plus. Responsibilities
- Deploy Kubernetes in an on-premises environment
- Administer, maintain and monitor the Kubernetes clusters and hardware infrastructure
- Design and manage the cluster layout, resources, and storage
- Maintain and monitor the containerized platform services
- Support and troubleshoot the cluster, containerized services, and infrastructure issues
- Automate processes as needed
- Work in collaboration with IT, product managers, and development teams
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or related fieldAt least two years professional experience building and maintaining Kubernetes environmentsAt least three years professional experience using Linux operating systemsStrong understanding of Ansible playbooksStrong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutionsThe ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearanceStrong Attention to DetailGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborate with others to debug and solve problemsCandidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred :
Strong development experience using Podman, Docker, docker-compose, and / or KubernetesExperience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform version 4+Deploying and maintaining CI / CD solutions for DevSecOps such as gitlab-ci and JenkinsExperience developing ansible playbooks for process automationExperience with VMware compute, storage, and network configurationsExperience with Prometheus and GrafanaDell server, switch and SAN configuration and maintenanceScripting with bash, python, or perlResumes, Cover Letters, and Applications which are generated by AI will not be considered for employment.
