Machinist

The Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating various CNC machines. This role involves conducting quality checks, utilizing measuring instruments such as calipers, OD / ID mics, and depth mics, as well as performing first piece inspections. The ability to read and interpret blueprints and written work instructions is essential.

Responsibilities :

• Perform full machine set-up, including changing jaws, tooling, and touching off tools.
• Select programs from the library and follow set-up sheets provided for all parts.
• Conduct multiple set-ups daily, often two or three times a day, for short runs and small batches.
• Execute in-process inspections using provided gauges to ensure tolerances, typically ranging from .002 to .005, and occasionally as precise as .0005 for bearing turns and pockets.

Work Environment :

The work environment is a typical manufacturing facility that is well-lit but not climate-controlled. The standard working hours are Monday through Friday, starting at 7 : 00 am, with the possibility of additional hours.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $30.00 / hr.
