Senior Cloud Architect- GCP (Onsite)

Responsibilities
Lead the migration of on-premises systems to a secure, scalable, and highly available GCP environment.
Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on GCP, utilizing a wide range of Google Cloud products and services.
Develop and manage our infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure consistent and repeatable deployments.
Design, build, and maintain our Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Implement and oversee zero-downtime deployment strategies for critical infrastructure and applications.
Establish and track Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to meet business and customer expectations.
Develop and maintain comprehensive monitoring dashboards, incorporating distributed tracing, logging, and metrics for proactive issue resolution.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to foster a culture of DevOps and continuous improvement.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the cloud platform engineering team.
Requirement
Proven experience as a hands-on architect with a strong background in GCP.
Expert-level proficiency with Terraform and Kubernetes.
Demonstrated experience in migrating large-scale infrastructure from on-premises environments to the cloud.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., VPC, subnets, firewalls, load balancing).
Experience in designing and implementing observability solutions, including monitoring, logging, and tracing.
Familiarity with reducing cloud footprint in a multi-cloud environment, specifically with Azure.
A strong commitment to automation and building resilient, self-healing systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Certification
Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect
Or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer,
Or Professional Cloud Security Engineer
Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $99,782 $161,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
