We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as Manager, Performance Management. This role will be responsible for owning and driving Emerson’s performance management strategy, with a focus on three core pillars : goal setting, feedback and coaching, and performance reviews. This position will collaborate closely with senior leaders, HR business partners, and people managers to ensure our performance practices support business objectives and cultivate a culture of accountability and high performance. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :

  • Lead the performance review process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of performance reviews and evaluations and their translation to rewards.
  • Maintain performance management policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Strategize and plan to expand the program to include hourly workforce.
  • Introduce performance calibration across the organization and ensure effective change management throughout the implementation.
  • Partner with HR to train managers and employees on performance management best practices, including goal setting, feedback and coaching, and performance review processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees in setting SIMple goals, observing progress, and addressing performance issues.
  • Collaborate with HR to develop strategies to enhance manager effectiveness as it pertains to managing performance.
  • Drive the adoption of performance management tools and technology to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy and reporting capabilities.
  • Partner with senior leadership to cascade organizational goals and objectives throughout the organization, ensuring alignment with individual and team performance goals.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on performance management matters, providing insights and recommendations to drive organizational performance and employee engagement.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement by regularly evaluating processes and incorporating feedback from partners.

For This Role, You Will Need :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in performance management, talent management, or related HR function.
  • Strong understanding of performance management principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Experience designing and implementing talent management programs and initiatives in a complex organizational environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to build solid relationships and influence partners at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and performance management software.
  • Our Culture & Commitment to You : Our compensation philosophy is simple : we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $100,000-150,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
