Business Process Lead - Sourcing

  • Location : San Diego, CA, 92101
  • Fully Onsite, Monday-Friday
  • Pay : $120,000-$155,000

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 7-10 years of sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of experience creating and implementing processes, training within supply chain
  • 5+ years of experience acting as a project manager within supply chain
  • Familiar with strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and risk assessment.

  • Master's Degree
  • APICS / ASCM certified
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

    A gas turbine company is looking for a Sourcing Specialist Business Process Lead to join their team. This person will play a strategic role within the Supply Chain and Logistics function. They will be creating and implementing processes and training for the entire supply chain organization.

    Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Supply Chain Support : Facilitates integration between procurement and facility support teams to ensure supply chain excellence.
  • Process Improvement : Identifies, defines, and implements supply chain solutions to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration : Builds internal and external partnerships to explore sourcing opportunities and best practices.
  • Risk Assessment & Business Proposals : Evaluates the soundness of sourcing strategies and assesses associated risks.
  • Benchmarking & Metrics : Investigates industry standards to develop optimal supply chains and improve supplier performance.
  • Data Analysis : Uses data to prioritize cost-effective supply chain improvements, inventory utilization, and business partnerships.

  • Planning (Tactical & Strategic) : Contributes to short-term and long-term planning aligned with business goals.
