The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.

CNO Financial Group Company, is seeking a Manager, Agile Testing to be responsible for leading the execution of the organization’s agile test strategy to ensure quality, speed, and alignment with delivery goals. This role collaborates closely with key stakeholders to design and implement scalable, standardized testing practices across teams. The manager provides training and mentorship to ensure teams are equipped to execute agile testing effectively and consistently. They champion the evaluation and adoption of automation tools and testing technologies to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. The role also oversees critical test environments, drives non-functional testing for performance, security, and accessibility, and promotes early tester involvement. Finally, the Manager, Agile Testing implements robust metrics and reporting frameworks to generate insights that inform leadership decisions and support continuous improvement.

As a Manager, Agile Testing, your responsibilities will include :

Collaborate with Initiative / Epic Test Owners and ART Test Leads to design and implement agile-aligned testing approaches; ensure consistent execution across ARTs, with regular reviews and updates to maintain alignment with evolving delivery goals.

Define and support standardized testing processes and DevOps capabilities; provide training, mentoring, and enablement to ensure stakeholders are equipped to apply agile testing practices effectively.

Drive the adoption of automation frameworks across all levels (story, feature, epic, initiative) to reduce manual effort and accelerate delivery; champion early tester involvement to support shift-left testing.

Develop and execute cross-ART, cross-epic testing strategies to ensure Initiative-level quality outcomes; proactively resolve impediments and promote testing integration with enterprise architecture and business priorities.

Lead comprehensive validation of performance, security, accessibility, and scalability standards; coach teams on non-functional testing best practices and tool usage.

Own coordination of critical testing environments in partnership with Tech Services and Business teams; oversee the test data strategy, including creation, masking, and maintenance to support compliance and effectiveness.

Evaluate and maintain test tools aligned with enterprise architecture; implement metrics frameworks to track progress, quality, and risk while delivering actionable insights to leadership.

Manager, Agile Testing candidates are well suited for this role if they have the following skillset :

Deep understanding of Agile principles and frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban, with experience leading and mentoring Agile Release Trains (ARTs).

Proficient in a broad range of testing methodologies including unit, integration, system, acceptance, performance, and regression testing.

Knowledgeable in CI / CD practices and tools to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to design effective testing strategies and troubleshoot complex software systems.

Excellent communicator with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.

Strategic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset and a focus on aligning testing processes with broader business objectives.

Skills in test automation using tools like Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG, with working knowledge of programming languages such as Java and Python.

What you’ll need :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field OR 8 years of directly related work experience.

5 years related work experience in a medium to large corporate environment.

2 years of experience in financial services industry.

2 years of experience working in agile.

Ability to work in Central or Eastern Time Zone hours

Associates who live outside of a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Orlando and Milwaukee) may perform this role full-time work from home (WFH) from any US based location, as long as you are willing to work central or eastern time zone hours.

All associates may be asked to travel to varying corporate offices periodically.

Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.

Compensation

Pay Range : $127,800.00 - $191,800.00 Annual
