Position Summary

The Systems Administrator DevOPs (SA-I-DO) works under the direct supervision of a Systems Administrator II and III. This role will involve developing and supporting fully automated CI / CD processes for infrastructure provisioning, application, service deployments, and various orchestrations. Our developers currently use Node.js, and containerization for our web, APIs, and REST services, so a primary task of this position will be to migrate their solutions to the staging and production infrastructure; and working with senior systems administrators to build, configure, and maintain systems, which may include software installations, and updates.

Pay Grade : 54

Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education

Minimum Qualifications

100% -

1. Three (3) years of experience as a system administrator; AND

2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, or closely related field; OR

3. An equivalent combination of related education and / or experience.

4. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND / OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

Duties and Responsibilities

1.Develops CI / CD pipelines across many architectures to assist releasing and ensuring code quality.

2.Works with a team of product developers and Cloud Engineers on several client projects simultaneously.

3.Develops, tests, and debugs new modules and enhancements for all applications.

4.Contributes to an agile project team to help understand and document client requirements, estimate work, develop new solutions, and enhance existing solutions.

5.Conducts code reviews and facilitate peer code reviews to enhance quality.

6.Works closely with the team to create / maintain an automated CI / CD software pipeline.

7.Builds and maintains end-to-end deployment automation for the entire product suite.

8.Promotes and collaborates on development and coding best practices.

9.Researches new technologies and creates software architecture strategies to meet defined business objectives, including but not limited to minimizing cloud infrastructure cost.

10. Performs other related duties as required or directed.

KSA's

KSAs -

1.Strong experience developing, managing, and automating deployments for complex web applications deployed on-premises and to a cloud environment.

2.Knowledge of tools within cloud environments : Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, and SVN.

3.In-depth understanding of software development process and workflows.

4.Knowledge of how to monitor on-premise and cloud-based applications for errors and performance.

5.Knowledge of DevOps, CI / CD, continuous testing, and version control.

6.Ability to work in a team environment and have strong coordination, organization, and communication skills.

7.Ability to define, design, and implement an automated CI / CD system.

8.Fast learner, highly organized, and experienced in demonstrating focus to complete the highest priorities.

Special Requirements

1. Must pass Local and National NCIC Criminal Investigative Reports

2. Must be on-call as required.
