Our Operations Team is seeking an on-site Manufacturing Test Engineer. You would be responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing test processes are reliable, efficient, and scalable, enabling the production of high-quality products that meet customer expectations. This role bridges the gap between Engineering and Operations by developing, implementing, and maintaining test systems that verify product performance and design intent. Key success factors include ensuring seamless integration of test systems into production, maintaining alignment with quality standards, and driving continuous improvement. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Manufacturing Test Engineer supports new product introductions (NPIs), monitors and optimizes test performance, and provides data-driven feedback to stakeholders. This position plays a critical role in TrellisWare's ability to uphold its standards, deliver quality products, and meet customer requirements. The essential duties and responsibilities include :

• Responsible and accountable for the preparation of production test plans for all products.
• Defines the scope of tests within the context of each production line, obtaining targeted test coverage based on product quality requirements including automation where required.
• Selects and integrates test instruments for test stations.
• Develop and maintain test systems to ensure product specifications and customer requirements are met.
• Deploy and monitor production test equipment for optimal functionality, calibration, and uptime.
• Facilitate new product introductions (NPIs) by creating and validating test plans, test scripts, and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs).
• Analyze test data and identify trends to improve test accuracy, efficiency, and throughput while maintaining quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and optimize production workflows, including test coverage and integration.
• Train and support production staff on test systems, procedures, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, including ISO9001 and other regulatory requirements, and maintain proper documentation for all testing procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring test failures and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts in testing processes, contributing to cost optimization and increased reliability.
• Actively participates in design reviews with development and manufacturing engineers to influence design decisions for testability, reliability, repeatability, quality and production throughput targets.
• Develops manufacturing process flow diagrams, process FMECAs, process characterizations and process / product validation protocols / reports.
• Conducts research and development of potential production technologies that could be applied in the product line to improve throughput, quality or costs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Develops relationships with team members built on trust and respect.
• Willing to travel about 15% of the time.

Education and work experience requirements are :

To be considered for this position, you would need to meet, at a minimum, the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed here :

Strong knowledge of RF and wireless communication technologies, (examples : Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5G, LTE), and spectrum analysis.

Experience with test development, including designing automated test systems and reducing test cycle times.

Knowledge of mass production scaling and integration of test systems into manufacturing workflows.

TrellisWare Technologies pays competitively according to the market in an individual's geographic location, in addition to their qualifications and experience. The posted range is for individuals located in the San Diego, CA area. The pay range for this position is : $115,000-135,000k, annually.
