Construction Accountant

High-end Palm Beach builder is seeking a Construction Accountant to oversee all accounting functions and work closely with project managers and subcontractors to complete projects according to financial business goals and objectives. Key areas of responsibility will be project accounting, contract management, job costing, budgeting, financial reporting & audit . Salary will be based on experience and meeting all requirements - Salary up to $115k plus health benefits, life insurance, retirement plans, profit sharing and paid time off.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee the accounting for multiple construction projects
• Financial Planning and Analysis Support for Project Managers
• Forecast Monthly Billing and Expense Projections for Projects
• Maintain accurate job cost reports and reconcile budgets
• Manage contracts, billing schedules, change orders and draw requests
• Oversee AP, AR and collections
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices, accounting software and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Work closely with all departments to ensure projects are in good financial standing and managed well meeting all goals
