Position Purpose
Seeking world-class talent to join the world’s leading distributor of automotive and industrial replacement parts and value-added services operating 5,500+ locations and servicing more than 20,000 locations in the U.S and Canada. Specifically, this role will function as the Director of Order Management Systems (OMS) in Supply Chain Technology managing, developing and leading one or more engineering teams that own order management systems at GPC. Working with a highly talented team, you will play a key role to build and run one of the world’s largest automotive and industrial replacement parts operations.
The Director of Order Management Systems is a deep engineering expert in Supply Chain Technology. The ideal candidate is a thought leader around what is possible between customers, business, and technology. As the Director of Order Management Systems (OMS), you will advance and support one or more teams responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the new order management system with a focus on continuous incremental business value in an agile environment. This position will work to foster an environment that promotes DevOps philosophies that enable efficient software deployments, high quality software, and empowers teams to do their best. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical aptitude in leading application engineering and development with a demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team of resources responsible for product delivery.
The individual will work with senior leadership and other engineering and business leaders in a thought leadership role driving technology roadmaps and solutions for Supply Chain Technology. Close collaboration and alignment with infrastructure, network, application development teams and security will be required. As such, exceptional abilities in building and maintaining strong working relationships and organizational savvy will be required. High level communication and presentation skills are required.
