Staff Modeling Engineer

We are seeking a motivated, experienced SPICE Modeling Engineer to support advanced process development in Analog Devices Inc (ADI). We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in Silicon device modeling in devices such as high-voltage MOS / LDMOS, Bipolars, JFETs, and in the inter-device cross-coupling through parasitic bipolar action in monolithic silicon. The candidate must excel at device physics and be eager to have hands-on experience with electrical and high frequency measurements and explore the limitation of electronic instruments. We are the ADI global modeling team at various US, Ireland and India locations, and this position is located in our offices in Beaverton, Oregon, US.

Responsibilities and Duties include but not limited to :

  • SPICE transistor modeling, LDMOS, CMOS, BJT, JFET, resistors, capacitors. Particular attention is given to high-voltage LDMOS, Bipolar and JFET modeling for this position.
  • Characterization and analysis of same devices, including high frequency characterization (S-Parameters).
  • Characterization and modeling which involves multi-physics disciplines (electrical, thermal, mechanical).
  • Long-term device degradation modeling for LDMOS and Bipolars.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • PhD (or Master with 5+ years of working experience) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Applied Physics with strong device physics background.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experienced device modeling expert with PhD in Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics, and with strong physical intuition of electrothermal, piezoelectric, and bipolar device action. Process Engineering experience and programming skill in Python and similar languages is a plus. Experience in machine learning and AI is a plus.

    Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

    This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
