Responsible for greeting all Members and guests and directs inquiries to the proper parties; scheduling / rescheduling / canceling appointments, event promotion, assist in billing / CHITS for Wellness & Racquets related services. Providing a professional, friendly, and courteous atmosphere for all Members, guests and colleagues. The Recreation Coordinator acts in the Wellness Manager’s absence to oversee all administrative duties of the Wellness Center.
Essential Functions
- Answer all incoming calls to the Wellness desk, when needed.
- Communicating with the Director of Racquets & Wellness Manager for ordering of all supplies for the Wellness Center & recreation amenities along with helping to maintain a working inventory.
- Racquets & Wellness billing through the JONAS system.
- Counsels and assists members with billing inquires, as needed.
- Tracking monthly Wellness Center traffic along with recreation amenity usage.
- Assisting Members and guests with general questions regarding the Club’s Wellness & recreation amenities (Tennis, Pickleball, Croquet, etc…)
- Inspect work areas or operating equipment to ensure conformance to established standards in areas such as cleanliness or maintenance.
- Maintaining communications with Wellness Manager to ensure proper procedures are being followed and training / understanding is adequate.
- Convey rules and regulations, as needed, for the Wellness Center & recreation amenities.
- Performs duties necessary to maintain a consistent level of hospitality and standard for the wellness & recreation industry.
- Create ongoing and / or seasonal promotions and activities to encourage registrations, stimulate sales and create interest among members, guests, management and staff.
- Promote wellness programs, contests, and other recreation related events.
- Ability to work among Wellness staff, to include but not limited floor coverage, orientations.
- Perform desk coverage when necessary. Schedule may include weekends, as needed.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by management.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a country club.Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must possess excellent organizational skills, coordinate and complete tasks with limited supervision.Must be a detail-oriented individual and possess time management skills.Must maintain high performance standards.Fluent reading and writing in English with the ability to recognize signs and symbols to communicate with members.Ability to deal with routine changes often.Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with all employees, management and members.Excellent communication skills.Thorough understanding of Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club policies and procedures.Must have some computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office programs.Education and experience
High School Diploma and / or equivalent required.Previous clerical and reception work experience required.Must have intermediate knowable of all Microsoft applications; typing ability; customer focus driven, as well as, maintaining above standards for desk operations.Seasonal / yearly commitment highly desired; must be comfortable working in a fitness environment and be willing to assist in other areas.CPR / AED certification desirable.Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., and bend and / or lift heavier objects or equipment in the fitness facility.
