Press Operator
As a Press Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process by operating machines or assembly equipment to create parts or products. You will be responsible for maintaining production documentation, handling work pieces, and ensuring product quality through inspection.
Responsibilities
Operate machines or assembly equipment to manufacture parts or products.
Properly maintain all production documentation.
Position inserts, hand loads, and work pieces on machines.
Remove finished products from machines, unless done robotically.
Visually inspect 100% of products for surface and dimension defects.
Complete all secondary operations on parts as noted in the quality book, such as trimming and adding fasteners.
Fill in appropriate information on labels and associated documentation for products.
Package products for shipment.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Environmental Management System guidelines for recycling.
Essential Skills
1+ year of manufacturing experience.
Experience in machine operation, production, assembly, and quality control.

Work Environment
The work environment is in a plastic injection automotive plant, which is relatively clean for an automotive facility. The environment is non-temp controlled and can be loud. The summer schedule for July and August varies weekly, with shifts including day and night hours. The regular schedule will resume in September, with a similar shift pattern.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saline, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
