Job Description

We are a state of the art behavioral clinic for children with autism and their families. We believe in treating the family as a whole, and as such siblings and parents are often incorporated into our therapy. Our unique services include a 3-month parent training program, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and day-time center based services for children between the ages of 2-12. We strive to provide compassionate and creative care to meet the needs of our families

We are seeking dedicated and energetic individuals to join our team to provide 1 : 1 therapy to increase communication, socialization and play skills. Training and certification provided. Behavior Technicians are offered multi-level support, including on-site BCBA supervision.

Healing Haven offers a multi-disciplinary approach, offering ABA, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy as well as Intensive Parent Training for families, Counseling, and Autism Testing and Evaluation Services.

Summary of Essential Job Functions of the Behavior Technician :

Working one-on-one with children and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder;

Teaching skills involving language and social skills, fine and gross motor, relaxation, play, and ADLs;

Maintaining a fun and interactive environment that is clean and organized;

Building strong, lasting relationships with clients and families;

Documenting behaviors and collecting data;

Fostering a warm, inclusive environment for staff and families;

Working as a team with other departments including Speech and Occupational Therapy;

Obtaining / Maintaining Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification and Quality Behavioral Solutions (QBS) Safety-Care Training.

Minimum Requirements needed to apply for the Behavior Technician opening :

Bachelor's Degree not required, but preferred

Professional references

Reliable means of transportation

Clean criminal history

Maintaining respect and confidentiality for all clients

Ability to walk, run, lift, squat, bend, push / pull 30 pounds as needed for therapy services

Ability to efficiently write and communicate verbally

Ability to work supportively with other professionals and staff

Pay : $17-$22 per hour
