Position Summary

The Marketing Automation Specialist will be responsible for leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud to design, implement, and optimize email marketing campaigns. This role focuses on creating automated email triggers and flows, managing audience segmentation, and delivering actionable reporting and analytics to enhance channel performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign Development and Execution : Design, build, and deploy email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including setting up automated email triggers and customer journey flows to deliver personalized and timely communications.
  • Audience Segmentation : Develop and manage audience segments based on customer behavior, demographics, and preferences to ensure targeted and effective marketing campaigns.
  • Reporting and Analytics : Monitor, analyze, and report on email channel performance, including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and other key metrics. Provide actionable insights to optimize campaign effectiveness and improve ROI.
  • Optimization and Testing : Conduct A / B testing and multivariate testing to refine email content, subject lines, and send times to maximize engagement and performance.
  • Data Management : Maintain data integrity within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ensuring accurate audience data and compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
  • Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product, and IT, to align email marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Platform Expertise : Stay up-to-date with Salesforce Marketing Cloud features, best practices, and emerging trends to continuously improve campaign performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Experience :
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing automation, with specific expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, etc.).

  • Proven track record of building and managing automated email triggers, customer journeys, and complex workflows.
  • Strong experience in audience segmentation and data management within a marketing automation platform.
  • Technical Skills :
  • Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including AMPscript, SQL, and data extensions.

  • Familiarity with HTML / CSS for email template customization.
  • Experience with reporting tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud reporting, or similar).
  • Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze campaign performance data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred. Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g., Email Specialist, Consultant) are a plus.
  • Other : Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of data privacy regulations and email compliance standards.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with additional marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce Sales Cloud) and integrations with Marketing Cloud.
  • Understanding of promotional products or B2B marketing is an advantage.
