Technical Program Manager
Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Technical Program Manager. The expected annual salary range for this role is $99,749.97 - $146,299.96 a year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What You'll Do :
The role of a Technical Program Manager (TPM) will significantly contribute to providing white glove services to large strategic customer accounts. The TPM acts as a key liaison between the client and the UDS project delivery team (which consists of the PMO team and the Utility project development team). The TPM role will help alleviate the Utility project development team from the first line of technical support, improve backlog prioritization and extend the range of services that EESS could offer after the project is delivered (solution maintenance, calibration and continuous improvement). The Technical Program Manager is responsible for :
- Managing first and part of second line technical support for the client by sorting and prioritizing support cases, following up on their timely resolution and providing to the client timely visibility on the status of the support cases. First and second line technical support exclude cases that require in-depth debugging or modifications to the core applications (CYME Desktop or Agent, CYME server and back-end).
- Supporting the Utility project development team during all customer facing activities : design workshops, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), installation & deployment, and User Acceptance Test (UAT) phases.
- Collecting the Voice of Customer (VOC) from the client regarding the use of the solutions provided by the Utility project development team and gaining a better understanding of the "customer journey" of the client when using these solutions to propose a road map of continuous improvement.
- Assisting in managing the client's consolidated backlog across their solutions : bugs, continuous improvement, change requests, new features, etc. As a result, the TPM responsibilities will include helping coordinate the planning of backlog deliverables with the client, the Project Management Team, and the Development teams. Activities he will be contributing to (but not limited to) are : Program Increment (PI) planning ceremonies, backlog refinement sessions, sprint reviews, etc.
- Acting as a key liaison between the client and the UDS project delivery team. As a result, the TPM will own and / or facilitate the various reporting activities to the client alongside with status updates.
- Travel required on an as per needed basis - Installation and deployment support outside working days / hours could sometimes take place based on specific project / client needs.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.Minimum 5 years of experience in product development or testing delivering software projects.Minimum of 3 years' experience CYME Power System Software and / or experience in Power System Engineering.Must be willing to accommodate business hours of clients based in the Pacific time zone in order to provide timely customer service.Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working in Utility Enterprise Software and Platforms development.PMP (or similar) certification.Minimum 5 years of experience in product development or testing as an Agile Team member delivering software projects.Solid knowledge of Agile project management principles. Experience working with an agile team and implementing Agile principles.
