ROLE AND PURPOSE : To support existing district information system needs and provide solutions for new processes and procedures. Design, construct and test computer to meet defined specifications and objectives and to address district needs. Maintain data and integrations, provide appropriate documentation as needed. Implement new software applications and systems designs.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Three years computer programming experience.
- Three years SQL programming experience in a database environment.
- Three years experience with implementations, database design, performance evaluation and data file structures.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :
Microsoft Access, Active Directory, Rapid Identify, Microsoft Excel, SQL, PGP, Crystal Reports or Jasper Reports, Web Development and Frontline ERP / SIS (Formerly TEAMS) softwareDatabase tools including DBVisualizer, SQL Server Management Studio, SQL DeveloperExperience with DB2 databasesGood oral and written communications skillsExcellent troubleshooting skills and experienceAbility to work with a variety of personnel, Campus-based, Administration and vendors.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
Maintain and support packaged software solutions to include SIS, Financial, and HRIS.Work with software support specialists and vendors to identify problems and areas of improvementCommunicate with software companies to relate issues and coordinate software updatesMaintain existing Crystal and Jasper reports and create new reportsCreate and maintain SQL Views, Functions and Stored ProceduresPublish queries and reports using SIS / ERP software platformAttend and communicate knowledge concerning software support group online meetingsImplement and manage new and existing data integrations.Maintain Financial communications using PGP security protocolAnalyze software changes and communicate impact to usersMaintain third party software data imports and exports into SIS / ERP systemDesign, program, test, document and implement programs in a database environment.Analyze program specifications for completeness and conformance to standardsDevelop system and application software documentation and provide training as necessaryEstablish performance criteria for developed systems.Work as a team member in a variety of systems and software programs.
