Job Summary

Motion is seeking a skilled Cloud Architect with a strong background in designing and implementing APIs and services using service-oriented architecture (SOA). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecting solutions on Cloud Platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and a proven track record of delivering scalable and reliable systems.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and architect scalable, cloud-native applications on Cloud Platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) leveraging best practices and architectural principles.
  • Develop and implement APIs and microservices using service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure architectural integrity and consistency across all services.
  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions that are secure, scalable, and highly available.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams on Cloud services and best practices.
  • Perform technical assessments, feasibility studies, and proof of concepts (POCs) for new initiatives and projects.
  • Define and implement CI / CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated deployment processes on Cloud.
  • Conduct performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization of cloud-based applications and services.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in cloud computing and Cloud services.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5-6 years of experience designing and delivering APIs and services using service-oriented architecture (SOA).
  • Proven experience architecting solutions on Cloud Platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), including proficiency in Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, etc.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and implementation using RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools for CI / CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Deployment Manager).
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Cloud certifications preferred.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
