Base pay range

75.00 / hr - $125.00 / hr

Position Overview : We are seeking an experienced and curious Aviation Air Carrier Certificate Development Lead to join our team on a remote contract basis. This role will be instrumental in developing and maintaining Part 135 and Part 91K authorizations, evolving operational practices and procedures, achieving new authorizations, and ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks for both manned and unmanned aviation activities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Research and maintain awareness of new regulatory changes and industry best practices
  • Develop new content and procedures to support regulatory updates
  • Drive continuous improvement of operational practices and procedures
  • Pursue and achieve new operational authorizations as needed
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with changing FAA regulatory requirements
  • Support both manned and unmanned aircraft operations under Part 135
  • Maintain and build relationships with aviation regulatory authorities
  • Respond to regulatory authority feedback and inquiries
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Operations, Director of Maintenance and Compliance Officer
  • Develop and implement process improvements in collaboration with the team

Ideal Candidate :

  • Experience with Part 135 or Part 91K operations
  • Understanding of FAA certification processes
  • Strong understanding of aviation terminology, concepts, and operations
  • Familiarity with Safety Management Systems (SMS) for aviation operations
  • Proven track record in developing and aviation manuals
  • Experience with both traditional and unmanned aircraft systems preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build professional relationships
  • Self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving abilities
  • Curious learner committed to continuous professional development
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex regulatory information clearly
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
