Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Entry Level Technician. This is an entry-level position and training will be provided. You will travel throughout a defined territory in a company-provided vehicle to support multifamily income-qualified energy efficiency programs. Your core responsibilities will focus on customer service and data collection, including installing smart thermostats and LED lighting, educating residents, and supporting contractor onboarding. There is no overnight travel.

For this opportunity, you're a great fit if you can

  • Install smart thermostats and kitchen LED bulbs in multifamily residential units
  • Collect and record data such as thermostat serial numbers and bulb counts in spreadsheets
  • Educate residents on how to use their new smart thermostats
  • Act as a local, on-site program and company representative to customers and contractors
  • Support onboarding of new contractors by demonstrating data collection procedures and tenant interaction best practices
  • Deliver inventory and materials to job sites
  • Travel across the service area to support installations and contractor setup
  • Provide excellent customer service and troubleshoot basic installation issues
  • Perform canvassing and light inventory work during downtime
  • Conduct pre- and post-installation verifications and gather technical data
  • Support program staff and clients in promoting energy efficiency retrofits and new construction
  • Provide technical advice, guidance, and training on installation and configuration

Physical requirements :

  • Able to work under different weather conditions including extreme hot and cold weather
  • Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
  • Use repetitive hand motion and basic hand and power tools
  • Use ladders at various heights (up to 3 stories)
  • Lift, carry, or push up to 50 pounds as needed
  • In this exciting career opportunity, you will have

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in residential construction or customer service (preferred, but not requiredwe'll train the right candidate!)
  • Ability to safely store a company vehicle at your residence
  • Target Compensation : $23.00 / hr

    Compensation Range $20.80 - $28.90 Currency USD Type Hourly

    Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data / ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD / technology), for example.
