The Red Hat Agility and Technical Solutions (AnTS) team is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will analyze tooling data to generate insights that support both departmental and enterprise teams. The ideal candidate excels at leveraging large datasets to identify opportunities for product and process optimization and applying models to test and refine different approaches. They should have strong expertise in data mining, analysis methods, and trend identification and experience using various data tools to extract meaningful insights. A proven ability to translate data into actionable business outcomes is essential. This role requires collaboration with diverse stakeholders, associates, and functional teams, making strong communication and analytical skills key to success.
What you will be doing :
- Work on cross-functional projects with leadership, project managers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand and achieve business priorities.
- Responsible for eliciting business and technical requirements from stakeholders and turning these into analytics reporting and dashboard solutions.
- Translate abstract data into easily digestible and highly visual dashboard applications and executive-level report deliverables.
- Build cross-functional relationships with business units to cultivate successful long-term partnerships.
- Must be able to mine and analyze data from across company databases to drive optimization and improve business strategies.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data-gathering techniques.
- Develop reports and dashboards and present and explain results to non-technical audiences.
What you will bring :
5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.The ideal candidate is skilled in data-driven decision-making, statistical analysis, and machine learning models and proficient in Python, R, or SQL.Strong problem-solving, data visualization, communication skills, and cross-functional skills in a global environment are essential.Candidates should have experience with Tableau, QlikView, D3, and EazyBI for data visualization and advanced spreadsheet manipulation.Proficiency in SQL, Python (including writing database views), R, and JavaScript is required, while experience with MDX and large database systems is a plus.The role requires translating business objectives into actionable insights, automating reporting, and setting up data-driven processes.Experience integrating data from Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses is preferred.Candidates must be comfortable presenting insights to stakeholders, collaborating in a cross-functional, multicultural team, and adapting to shifting priorities with a self-directed, proactive approach to problem-solving.Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing LLMs (e.g., Google Gemini), as relevant, for tasks such as brainstorming solutions, deep research, summarizing technical documentation, drafting communications, summarizing complex technical information, and enhancing problem-solving efficiency across the development lifecycle.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI integration within the software development lifecycle, driving continuous improvement and innovation in engineering practices; share use cases for successful experiments with stakeholders for broader use.The salary range for this position is $86,770.00 - $138,850.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and / or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
