Saint Joseph High School, a vibrant all-boys Catholic college preparatory school in Metuchen, NJ, is seeking a creative, driven, and mission-minded Communications and Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of telling our story—designing eye-catching visuals, crafting compelling content, and driving innovative campaigns that inspire our community and attract future Falcons. You’ll collaborate across departments—including Advancement, Alumni Relations, Admissions, and the President’s Office—making an immediate impact on school spirit, enrollment growth, and community engagement.
This is a 12-month, full-time role with opportunities to grow your skills in brand development, graphic design, social media strategy, and video production, all while contributing to the mission of a faith-based educational community.
Key Responsibilities
Communications & Public Relations
- Develop and execute engaging print and digital content for newsletters, bi-annual publications, and special campaigns
- Partner with school leadership to coordinate all internal communications, from important school updates to alumni outreach.
- Maintain and manage an integrated school-wide communications calendar.
- Represent the department at major campus events such as Open House, Back to School Night, the Green Tie Gala, Falcon Golf Classic, and alumni gatherings.
Visual Media & Brand Development
Lead the design, production, and distribution of print, digital, and social media materials, including magazines, viewbooks, campaign collateral, ads, and promo / campaign videos.Manage and grow the school’s social media presence through an engaging content calendar, trend monitoring, and data-driven insights.Serve as an on-site photographer / videographer for assigned event and manage outside photography vendor relationshipsCollaborate with vendors and in-house teams to ensure brand consistency across all platforms.Website Management
Support ongoing updates, design improvements, and content creation for the school’s website.Coordinate with campus stakeholders to ensure information is accurate and current.Explore and implement new features and functionality through ongoing vendor collaboration.Qualifications
Required :
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or related field; or equivalent work experience.1–2 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or a related field.Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X / Twitter, TikTok).Preferred :
Experience in non-profit, private education, or mission-driven organizations.Demonstrated graphic design and / or video production portfolio.How to Apply
