Business Development Representative – Manufacturing

Location : West Coast Region (CA, NV, OR, WA)

Employment Type : Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire

Salary Range : $68,000 – $78,000 annually (DOE)

Additional Compensation : Commission + Car Allowance

Schedule : Monday – Friday, Full-Time

We are a leading provider of precision laser and die-cut gaskets, specializing in laminating, slitting, and custom fabrication. Our innovative solutions serve a variety of industries requiring tight tolerances, custom materials, and engineered sealing components. We’re growing and looking for a dynamic Business Development Representative to join our team and help drive expansion throughout the West Coast.

Position Overview :

The Business Development Representative will play a vital role in expanding our market presence by identifying and developing new customer relationships. This role is ideal for a highly motivated, self-driven sales professional who thrives on building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and delivering technical solutions to manufacturers and engineers.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Generate and qualify new leads through cold calling, outreach, email campaigns, and industry networking
  • Develop relationships with purchasing agents, engineers, and production managers to understand project needs
  • Present company capabilities tailored to each client’s specific applications in die-cutting, laser cutting, laminating, and custom fabrication
  • Coordinate meetings between prospects and internal sales / engineering teams
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, activity, and customer data in CRM
  • Collaborate with customer service, estimators, and production teams to provide accurate quotes and timelines
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify areas of opportunity
  • Prepare weekly updates and sales pipeline reports for leadership
  • Travel throughout CA, NV, OR, and WA as needed to meet with prospects and attend trade events

Qualifications :

  • 3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in a manufacturing or technical product environment
  • Proven success in lead generation, territory growth, and client retention
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; able to convey technical information in a clear, solution-based manner
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • Highly organized, proactive, and self-motivated
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience
  • Bilingual skills a plus (Spanish preferred)
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% across the West Coast
