Kentro is seeking a Senior SharePoint Developer to support US SOCOM and Department of Defense (DoD) digital transformation initiatives by designing, developing, and maintaining advanced solutions within the Microsoft SharePoint and Power Platform ecosystem. Operating in a fast-paced GovCon environment, this role combines high-level architectural design with hands-on development to meet complex mission requirements.

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in SharePoint Online, Power Apps, and Power Automate, and demonstrates the ability to lead solution architecture, develop business proposals, and interface with both technical teams and government stakeholders. A strong understanding of federal IT standards, security compliance (e.g., RMF, FedRAMP), and DoD enterprise environments is essential. As a senior position, the ideal candidate will assist Program Leadership in designing solutions beyond SharePoint and Power Platform ecosystem advising on architectural design and estimation of standard software projects and programs.

Responsibilities :

Architecture & Technical Leadership :

  • Design and implement scalable SharePoint Online and Power Platform solutions tailored for DoD enterprise environments.
  • Define solution architecture and integration approaches that meet security, performance, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead technical design sessions and provide architectural guidance to development teams in both Power Platform and other modern computing stacks such as Angular, SQL and Node.js / Express.

Mission Support & Stakeholder Engagement :

  • Collaborate with functional teams, end users, and government stakeholders to gather and validate requirements.
  • Translate mission objectives into solution strategies and technical roadmaps.
  • Prepare technical documentation, white papers, and solution briefs for government proposal submissions and customer presentations.
  • Development & Customization :

  • Build and maintain custom SharePoint sites, workflows, Power Apps, and Power Automate flows to streamline operational tasks.
  • Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services and external systems, leveraging Power BI for dashboards and reporting.
  • Ensure applications meet DoD standards for accessibility (e.g., Section 508), security, and data governance.
  • Compliance & Lifecycle Support :

  • Support ongoing maintenance and performance tuning of SharePoint environments.
  • Apply cybersecurity controls and documentation to support ATO (Authority to Operate) and RMF requirements.
  • Contribute to DevSecOps processes, version control, and CI / CD pipeline integration where applicable.
  • Technical Expectations :

  • Modern SharePoint Design / Development
  • Cross platform integration (PowerBI / SharePoint)
  • Connector / Web Part Development a plus (SPFx)
  • PnP JS and REST API usage
  • RBAC access controls across systems
  • PowerBI development and data integration (Use of SQL / DataBricks etc)
  • Integration of PowerAutomate with AI feature integration experience a plus
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in SharePoint development, with recent work in federal or DoD environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, PowerShell, JSON, and REST APIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to support technical solutioning for RFP responses and proposal development.
  • Familiarity with federal cybersecurity requirements, including NIST 800-53 and RMF frameworks.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Microsoft certifications such as Power Platform Developer Associate, Solutions Architect Expert, or SharePoint Associate.
  • Experience with IL5 / IL6 environments or Microsoft GCC High.
  • Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Previous experience supporting contracts within DISA, Army, Navy, Air Force, or other defense agencies.
